Water Resource Evaluation
MMA has provided water resource evaluation for numerous industrial and
government clients. Specifically, MMA has provided ground-water basin
analysis, ground-water modeling, ground-water supply, wellhead protection
evaluation, surface-water/ground-water interaction assessment, and field
investigations. MMA believes that ground-water resource evaluation
requires careful review of all contributors to water budgets and an
understanding of all basic data collected.

Contaminant Hydrogeology
MMA has completed analyses of contaminant hydrogeology for
numerous clients across the United States. Investigations
included chemical fate-and -transport, contaminant travel time
calculations, contaminant plume history matching, remedial alternative
evaluations, contaminant plume allocation, and natural attenuation
assessment. These evaluations have been completed for a wide variety
of complex hydrogeologic conditions including fractured and faulted
bedrock and heterogeneous subsurface materials.

Mining Hydrogeology and Impact
Assessment
Since its inception, MMA has provided hydrogeologic consulting
services to mining and related industries. MMA analyses have been used
to establish ground-water extraction rates for mines, minimize the
potential for depletion from surface-water bodies, and support
negotiations with state and federal regulators.

Expert Technical and Negotiation Support
MMA's principals are experienced in providing expert opinion on
hydrogeologic conditions and ground-water modeling in expert reports,
depositions, and trials. They have special expertise in cases
that involve ground-water contamination-related insurance claims,
contaminant plume allocation issues, remedial action disputes, and
water-resource allocation. MMA's first-hand experience in the
development and application of ground-water modeling has provided
legal clients with both expert review of existing ground-water models
and development of scientifically defensible ground-water models for
application to real-world problems.

Training
Mr. McDonald and Mr. Morrissey have extensive experience
conducting workshops, seminars and courses in ground-water hydrology
and ground-water modeling. Mr. McDonald is a coauthor of
MODFLOW the most widely-used ground-water
model in the world. Mr. McDonald and Mr. Morrissey
have been teaching 3- to 5- day MODFLOW courses for the last fifteen
years. Customized courses can be created to meet the needs of
the attendees.
